The Blood Center of Iowa, the state's largest community based blood center, is pleased to begin blood collections at Virginia Gay Hospital and the Benton County community.
The blood collected at the blood drive will come right back to to help the patients at
Virginia Gay Hospital.

Study finds hospital makes 28.7 million impact
Virginia Gay Hospital, Clinics, Nursing & Rehab and Home Health generates 1,137 jobs that add $28,700,382 to Vinton, Benton County and the surrounding region’s economy, according to the latest study by the Iowa Hospital Association. In addition, Virginia Gay Hospital employees by themselves spend $1,468,758 on retail sales and contribute $88,125 in state sales tax revenue. Learn more...
